Get Trained

"If you’re a craftsman, we want to make you a math instructor. If you’re a math instructor, we want to make you a better craftsman."  --Joe Youcha

We offer a two-step training process for organizations that want to become certified to use the Building To Teach hands-on teaching methods and materials. To get started, submit an application so we can get to know you better and we will contact you to assess your organizational needs. View upcoming training workshops.

Level One - Online Training:
When you are approved for online training, you will be given access to a training website with materials and resources to become trained in the Fundamentals of Math, Elements of Instruction and the Bevin's Skiff boat building project. Once you have successfully completed Level One training, you can apply for Level Two certification.

Level Two - In-Person Training:
This training is for individuals who have completed Level One training. In-person training takes place during a 3 day workshop at varying locations. The goal of this training is to prepare Instructional Groups to apply Building To Teach's projects, exercises and methods to their teaching environments. Costs for this training will vary depending upon underwriting.
